Grosse ILE NAS, Michigan.  USN didn't teach me how to shoot a fire arms.  Only 2 weeks during Christmas Vacation and went back to school.  Graduated in June, 1968.  40th class reunion was on Sept 13, 2008

January 1969 - March 1, 1969 US Naval Base - Treasure Island - San Francisco Bay
Fun time I guess - I could take a bus to San Francisco with my buddy Steve Riene (Evansville IL
but wondered what happened to hi)

April 1, 1969 - Oct 31, 1970 US Naval Air Station - Agana, Guam

I was able to fly to many places because of the Search and Rescue Team - we were in the Grumman HU16
aircraft.  We flew to Siapan, Rota, Truk Islands, Phillipines, Tiawan, Ulithi Atoll.  Watch the video
below about the HU16.

Across the bay from Treasure Island was San Francisco.
Watch this video about Haight Asbury.
Though 1967 is the year about this video. I was there afterwards
on weekends for a day.
